Winter Garden Light @ Waimarama Community Gardens

Sunday 4th July, 6pm at the Gardens or meet at Central School at 5pm for the Bike Rave to the Gardens

The Waimarama Community Gardens are hosting a mid-Winter community get together to coincide with Matariki and featuring music and singing from the Nelson Voice Collective. The gardens will be lit with lights from the Collective and Community Art Works, including the origami star lanterns that have been created over the past few weeks. We'll have a pot of soup to warm you up and a pot luck BBQ (bring something down to throw on it if you can). A koha would be appreciated.
Wrap up warm with sensible footwear (it might get muddy). There are some hazards so please supervise children.
The best way to get to the gardens is by bike, and it's going to be a fun! A group will be meeting at Central School and cycling slowly up the Brook to the Gardens with bicycles lit, music playing and breaking into the occasional song thanks to The Voice Collective.
Please RSVP here https://www.voicecollective.org/event-details/bike-rave-to-waimarama-gardens
If you can't cycle, there is limited parking at the Mountain Bike Hub and Tantragee Rd. and Brook St. (please don't park at the gardens).
