Light Nelson will be staged for the third time in July this year. It’s an irresistible mix: a garden walk in the clear dark night of winter with magic moments of illusion, beauty, and fun. The 2016 event will extend into the NMIT campus, and what’s more, thanks to huge sponsor support,admission to Light Nelson is free!

The vision for Light Nelson is to become a biennial feature on the Nelson calendar of events – boldly standing out in winter as a beacon for the local community and visitors alike.

However, it takes many people, a lot of equipment and materials, and many hours to produce Light Nelson – and this does need to be funded.

We’d like to invite you to become a Luminary. The Luminaries are a pivotal group of people who make a donation to the Light Nelson Trust, in order for this event to be staged.

Luminaries who donate more than $500 will receive the following benefits:

  • an invitation for up to two people to the launch event
  • Luminary eNewsletters to keep up with developments
  • mention in full credit listings on our website (anonymity is also an option)
